Michigan’s First Diverging Diamond Interchange Opens

The first Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) in the State of Michigan is officially open at I-75 and University Drive in Auburn Hills. The interchange improves traffic flow to the nearby Oakland University Campus and Chrysler’s North American Headquarters. OHM Advisors first proposed the DDI concept for this interchange in 2008, and later took a lead role when the project was expedited due to deteriorating conditions. This project is both the only interchange of its kind and the only community-branded bridge in the state – proudly bearing the City of Auburn Hills logo. OHM Advisors’ role included a conceptual engineering study, preliminary design, geometrics and landscape architecture.

OHM Advisors Merges with Krock Esser Engineering

February 16, 2015 - OHM Advisors is pleased to announce a merger with Krock Esser Engineering, a 22-person consulting firm located in Richfield, Ohio. The merger was finalized in January 2015. As far as the vision for the new Northeast Ohio office of OHM Advisors, Director Krock says, “When Gene and I started Krock Esser seven years ago, a merger with an A/E/P firm certainly wasn’t in our sights. Ultimately, though, our goal has always been to help our clients in every way we can. Being able to provide new services, like architecture, from this office is just the natural next step for us as advisors. We’re really thrilled about the expanded possibilities in serving this area of the state in the future.”
